Min Assistants: 1 Max Assistants: 1 (1 seat remaining)
Come and join a year-long journey through C.S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia! In this class, we will spend a year exploring Lewis's great series, deep-diving into the inspirations behind the chronicles (Persian tales! Medieval quests! The Truest Story of all!) as well as how they function as parts of a whole story. We will learn about the events in Lewis's life and times that influence the stories and how such an incredibly popular work of literature came to be - and almost wasn't! My hope is that by the end of this class you enjoy the Chronicles of Narnia more than ever and see more in them than you thought could be there. Further up and further in! To Narnia!

"Math is seeing patterns, solving puzzles, using logic, finding ways to connect disparate ideas, and so much more." In Math Club, we will play around with all these elements through games, projects, activities, and non-routine problems that require deep thinking. We will draw on resources from MATHCOUNTS as well as other resources I have collected over the years. (For students wishing to take the class a second time: all the weekly problems will be different. Some explorations may overlap, but there will be new activities and games as well).

In this class, we will be using the Apologia Physical Science 4th Edition book to look in depth at Physics, Chemistry and Astronomy. We will also be integrating hands-on learning through experimentation. We hope to help the students gain a better understanding of scientific principles to prepare them for high school science classes.
Public Speaking
