Description:

Now that you know how to use the basic crochet stitches, let's learn more advanced stitches and techniques! We will make projects that will help to improve your crochet skills and have fun while doing so.

Homework:

Practice the stitches at home, and purchase the pattern needed for the project.

Special Projects:

We will make fun projects using intermediate crochet patterns, such as a bag, a sweater, and a blanket.

Supplies/Curriculum to be Provided by Student:

Students will need crochet hooks of multiple sizes, stitch markers, tapestry needles, and a ruler. These can be purchased from Amazon. Look for a kit that has 12 sizes of crochet hooks, such as MECHEER Crochet Hooks. Patterns and any extra yarn will need to be purchased by the student. This should cost around $25 dollars. Patterns will most likely be purchased from Etsy and Ravelry.

Material Fees:

$30 per semester for yarn

Skills Needed:

You must know how to crochet at a beginner level, knowing how to do chain stitch, single, half-double, and double crochet.

Prerequisites:

Knowing the basics of crochet.
