Description:

We will be working through the simple step-by-step lessons of the Draw-Write-Now series. In this fun, creative class, students will be drawing, practicing their handwriting skills and having fun with some creative writing. This is an exciting, enjoyable way to get kids drawing and practicing their handwriting! We will use a different book for this year so if your child wants to take this class again we will be drawing new pictures. 1st graders are welcome if they have learned some basic handwriting. We will cover some of the same pictures and some new ones.

This class will focus on strengthening math skills through games and hands-on activities. Students will practice concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication basics, money, measurement, and problem solving through fun group games and interactive challenges. We may also incorporate occasional real-life math activities such as simple baking or measuring projects. The goal is to help students build confidence in math while having fun and seeing how math is used in everyday life.

Description:

Based on Gen 1:24-25, Apologia Zoology 3 takes students on a fascinating study of animals in jungles, deserts, forests, farms, and even their own backyard to explore the diverse creatures that God designed to inhabit the earth. We'll study mammals, reptiles, amphibians, dinosaurs, spiders, worms and more. We'll learn about their habitats, nutrition, behavior, tracks, and how God fashioned each one to be perfectly suited to survive and thrive in its own habitat. We’ll make observations in class and discuss how zoologists study animals. We’ll map the animals we study and record it all in their Notebooking journals. The easy-to-use Apologia science curriculum that will guide this class is written in an engaging narrative form and is fit for the entire family to read and enjoy together.
