Min Assistants: 2 Max Assistants: 2 (2 seats remaining)

Description:

Based on Gen 1:24-25, Apologia Zoology 3 takes students on a fascinating study of animals in jungles, deserts, forests, farms, and even their own backyard to explore the diverse creatures that God designed to inhabit the earth. We'll study mammals, reptiles, amphibians, dinosaurs, spiders, worms and more. We'll learn about their habitats, nutrition, behavior, tracks, and how God fashioned each one to be perfectly suited to survive and thrive in its own habitat. We’ll make observations in class and discuss how zoologists study animals. We’ll map the animals we study and record it all in their Notebooking journals. The easy-to-use Apologia science curriculum that will guide this class is written in an engaging narrative form and is fit for the entire family to read and enjoy together.

Homework:

Approximately 30-60 minutes weekly for reading and worksheets. Each lesson must be read at home. It is completely acceptable for parents or older siblings to read the lesson to the student. We will cover 1 lesson every 2 weeks.

Special Projects:

Students will have an opportunity to participate in year-end presentations, where they can provide a visual (could be a display/model/or object) and give a presentation based on their favorite aspect of Zoology that we've studied. This serves as a great student-led year-end review!
