Introduction to Psychology

In this class, we will use the book Introduction to Psychology from a Christian Perspective from 7sistershomeschool.com. This is a 1 credit high school social science or elective. Psychology is the study of the mind and behavior. This is an overview course. We will study everything from how the brain works to the history of psychology to career possibilities within psychology. This will all be done with a Christian perspective. We will learn what theories align with scripture and what theories may not.
Students will be expected to read the assigned chapter, answer the questions at the end of the chapter, do two encirclement exercises per chapter or write 1-2 page book report from the provided list of books and the chapter test. Assignments will be posted and submitted on Canvas
There is the option of additional work students may complete to get honors or college prep credit for the class.
Once registered students will receive a code to purchase the book at 33% discount. The book is Introduction to Psychology from a Christian Perspective from 7sistershomeschool.com . The book will be in a pdf format. Must have access to a computer and free student Canvas account.
