Join us as we explore the exciting world of acrylic painting through guided, step-by-step instruction designed for all skill levels. Whether you’re brand new to art or already love to create, you’ll learn approachable techniques that make beautiful results achievable for everyone. We’ll work on a variety of surfaces, including stretched canvases and canvas boards ranging in size from 8x10 to 16x20. Along the way, we’ll experiment with paint pens and mixed-media elements to add depth and personality to each piece. If time allows, we may even create a special lighted canvas project. Bring your curiosity, a willingness to try new techniques, and a love of creating — and leave with artwork you’ll be proud to display!
Aside from demonstrations, the class period will mainly be work time. Projects will be broken down into steps each week and the student should be able to complete each part during the class period. Occasionally, a project might need to be completed at home (i.e. if a student is absent or is falling behind).
