Description:

From the fireside of Green Gables to the Shadow of the Lonely Mountain and beyond, we will experience what makes great stories great and why ancient tales continue to be retold in compelling ways today. We will learn to see how every story points us back to the One Story - the Gospel. The focus of this class will be on learning how to read with attention, exploring foundational literary imagery, examining the techniques authors use to tell a great story, and getting to know some great works of literature. I hope you join us!

Homework:

In addition to reading the assigned chapters each week, students will be expected to write weekly narrations as well as an end of the book review for each completed novel.

Special Projects:

An end of the year creative project. I provide a long list of options.
