Creative Canvas (7-12)
Grade: 7 - 12 Min: 4 Max: 12 (Student Max Reached)
Min Assistants: 1 Max Assistants: 1 (Assistant Max Reached)
Waitlist: 5 positions available
This class is similar to Creative Canvas 4th-6th but will have all new projects that are slightly more challenging. We will have fun creating beautiful works of art! Using acrylic paints, paint pens, and other materials, your creativity will be unleashed—whether you’re an artist or not! With step-by-step guidance, we will build each painting from the background up using simple techniques anyone can learn. We will be working with various sizes (8x10 to 16x20) of stretched canvas, canvas boards, and a few other materials to embellish our paintings. We might even tackle a lighted canvas project. Come willing to learn, paint, and create!
Aside from demonstrations, the class period will mainly be work time. Projects will be broken down into steps each week and the student should be able to complete each part during the class period. Occasionally, a project might need to be completed at home (i.e. if a student is absent or is falling behind).
